2022 GMC MODEL UPDATES

That’s great news if you’re in the market for new GMC trucks for sale this year. Let’s take a look at how these updates improve specific GMC models.

2022 GMC Acadia Updates.

GMC’s popular crossover SUV is basically the same as the 2021 model; however, there have been a few upgrades to note. First and foremost, GMC’s Pro Safety Plus and Traction Select are now standard features on all trim levels. As far as styling goes, GMC now offers new 18 and 20-inch wheel designs on the base SEL and SLT time levels. Last but certainly not least, Light Stone Metallic exterior paint is available for all trim levels at no additional cost.

2022 GMC Canyon Updates

The 2022 GMC Canyon midsize pickup is basically the same for 2022 because major changes to the model were made in 2021. However, a new Black Edition equipment package is available for the top-of-the-line Denali trim package. In addition, the High Elevation package has been renamed as Elevation Premium.

2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Updates

The full-size Sierra light-duty pickup is being refreshed for the 2022 model year. Exterior changes include brand-new front styling, LED lighting, updated wheel designs, and three new colors. Interior changes include upgraded upper trim materials, a new center console design, and a larger touch screen. There are two new upper trims levels as well called the AT4x and Denali Ultimate. The power train has been upgraded as well. The base 2.7-liter 4-cylinder engine receives a 20-percent torque boost. The 3.0-liter turbo diesel engine is now available with the Max Trailering package. That increases towing capacity to 13,200 pounds. The V6 engine is no longer available.

2022 GMC Terrain Updates

The compact cross GMC Terrain
receives a bunch of updates for the new model year including new front styling, new 18 and 19-inch wheels, new LED lighting in the front and rear, and three new exterior paint colors. The interior has been fitted with brand new interior fabrics and trims. The AT4 trim level includes an all-wheel-drive, exclusive off-road time, and a steel front skid plate. A new technology package is now available on both the SLT and AT4 trim levels.

2022 GMC Yukon/Yukon XL Updates

The full-size GMC Yukon/Yukon XL S receive minor upgrades for the 2022 model year. All trim levels receive a 12-inch driver infotainment center. In addition, the large and in charge 420-hp 6.2-liter V8 engine that comes standard on the Denali trim level is now available on the AT4 trim level.
