Nestled behind Robertson’s GMC dealership here in Wareham, Massachusetts lies a hidden gem, a picturesque cranberry bog owned by our neighbor and friend Matt Beaton, a fifth-generation cranberry grower, who owns and operates Sure-Cran Services in Wareham, Massachusetts. Managing over 500 acres Matt remains completely immersed and [ pun intended ] submerged in the industry on a daily basis.

This bog is just one of hundreds in our region that embody the rich heritage and economic significance that the fall cranberry harvest brings to our Southcoast region. At this time each year we watch Matt’s team move in and quickly and efficiently flood, rake, float, coral, vacuum and then truck away hundreds upon hundreds of pounds of cranberries that have grown under the cover of bog and bush for nearly a year.
